Services
AeroCare Medical Transport provides a complete range of air medical services, each appropriate to the patient's condition, degree of care required, and distance to be traveled. Any number of supplementary or ancillary services can be arranged whenever you need them.
Basic Medical Escort
This is the least medically inclusive service offered. AeroCare selects an Air Medical Specialist with appropriate training to accompany the patient. The transport may be on a commercial carrier or in an AeroCare air ambulance. This service level is particularly appropriate for those individuals who, for health or medical reasons, would have difficulty or be uncomfortable traveling alone. Our escorts are always pre-hospital certified.
Basic Life Support
This level of service includes an Air Medical Specialist for patient care along with any medical equipment required.
Advanced Life Support
A high and very intensive level of care, this transport always has two or more Air Medical Specialists on board and uses an aircraft equipped very much like a ground-based Intensive Care Unit.
Note: all Arizona services are at this Advanced Life Support level.
Specialty Critical Care
More intensive than Advanced Life Support, this level of in-transit medical care requires the presence of several specialized medical personnel and equipment arrays, depending upon the specific need. Typifying this level of care are burn patients, patients requiring intra-aortic balloon pumps, many neonatal transports, and pediatric intensive care situations.
