Our Staff
Medical Crews
All of our medical crewmembers have a minimum of two years critical care experience. In addition they complete a rigorous orientation that prepares them to care for patients in the flight environment. Several of our medical crewmembers are also Certified
Flight Nurses or Certified Flight Paramedics, and have completed the Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program course.
Pilots
Our pilots are professionals. All of our captains are Airline Transport Pilot rated, and all of our pilots complete annual simulator training at Flight Safety or SimCom. They also complete a company-specific orientation program that includes, among other things, Crew Resource Management and Aeronautical Decision Making.
*All pilots are employees of Flight Concepts or Omni Air Transport
Communication Center
Our communication specialists may be located on the ground, but they are involved in the entire flight process. From the time they take the flight request until the crew has safely returned to base, they remain in contact with the flight team, hospital personnel, and ground ambulance services. They are all trained in customer service, map reading, flight tracking, aircraft operations, resource utilization, emergency procedures, medical terminology, and coordination of all aspects of a flight request. Many are also emergency medical technicians and NAACS Certified Flight Coordinators.
